About
Kalli is an AMHSW (Accredited Mental Health Social Worker), Deakin University master ‘s-trained Play Therapist, and Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner. She brings a calm, creative, and grounded presence to her work and is passionate about building therapeutic spaces where clients feel truly understood and empowered to grow. Kalli has completed specialised training in mental health interventions, Jungian sandplay therapy, humanistic play therapy, filial therapy, Learn to Play, and family therapy. Sandplay therapy is central to her practice, providing a symbolic and non-verbal space for children and adults to express emotions and unconscious processes through miniature figures and sensory exploration in the sand tray.
Background
Kalli’s professional background spans play therapy, mental health, NDIS early intervention, behaviour support, suicide prevention, childhood trauma, family violence services, and specialist trauma counselling. She has supported clients from early childhood through to adulthood, working with emotional dysregulation, trauma, disrupted attachment, neurodevelopmental differences, intellectual disability, anxiety, and family stress. This breadth of experience informs her ability to tailor support to the unique needs and goals of each individual and family, integrating approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed practice, attachment-focused work, and positive behaviour support frameworks.
Services Offered
Play Therapy - A creative, evidence-based approach that helps children and young people explore emotions, build resilience, and make sense of their world through the natural language of play.
Sandplay - Using miniature figures and the sand tray, sandplay offers a gentle, non-verbal space for clients of all ages to express experiences and emotions that can be difficult to put into words.
Therapeutic Services - Kalli provides individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults, with Medicare rebates available for eligible clients under a Mental Health Care Plan.
Outreach - Outreach sessions are available in the community, at home, or in school settings across the Geelong region.
